Cincinnati has been snake-bitten all year, losing six previous games by 2 points, and/or in overtime. That included the 3/4 court shot by Connecticut to tie them in triple overtime in the American Tournament.
Octavius Ellis had a chance to tie it, but his hand was still on the ball as the red light came on, and the officials waved off the game-tying basket. Cincinnati’s season comes to an end in painful fashion, after a painful and frustrating season of what-ifs.
