During Saturday’s Raja de Casablanca and Chabab Rif Al Hoceima fixture in Casablanca, absolute pandemonium broke out in the stadium as fans of each team engaged in violence that can be classified as nothing short of ‘terrifying’

The riot began immediately following Raja de Casablanca’s controversial 2-1 victory, and the latest update from the General Directorate of National Security said there are fatalities to report in addition to the 50+ people injured:

"“Two people died on arrival at the hospital, one was injured with a sharp object, the other did not present any apparent signs of violence, and 54 others were injured and evacuated to the hospital Moulay Youssef to receive the necessary care,”"

Per Dailymail.co.uk: The country’s DGSN security service said “31 people were arrested after the match for involvement in ‘acts of vandalism'”, and the report goes on to describe how this isn’t the first instance of intense violence during Moroccan soccer matches:

" “A year ago a man died in the central city of Khouribga during clashes between supporters of the local club and of Raja de Casablanca. In 2013 more than 200 people were arrested after clashes broke out in Casablanca between fans of Raja and FAR Rabat.” "

Die-hard soccer fans have always told me: “Football is life or death” — I didn’t really know they meant it literally until now.
