David Ortiz is Pro-Bat Flip: "Respect my [expletive]."

David Ortiz is firmly entrenched in the pro-bat flip camp. Ortiza recently spoke to the Boston Globe and gave all sorts of wonderful quotes about baseball etiquette. Like this one:

"“Respect? Respect my [expletive]. I don’t have to respect nobody when I’m between those two lines. I’m trying to beat everybody when I’m between those two lines. This ain’t no crying. There’s no, ‘Let me be concerned about taking you deep.’ No."

So mark David Ortiz down on the pro-fun side of the Baseball Culture War. Everyone must take a side. Even you.

I’d also really like to know which expletive he used. I assume it’s “ass,” but there are some other, funnier, possibilities. Hopefully, Ortiz’s language is as colorful as his game.
