Emmanuel Mudiay of the Nuggets provided another highlight from a very good rookie season when he beat the buzzer on a halfcourt bomb to lift the Nuggets over the 76ers, 104-103. Mudiay scored a game-high 27 points and collected 11 rebounds, but the 3-pointer is all anyone will remember.

Look at how slowly this unfolded. He fumbled the ball, went sideways, and more than anything, as the ball is in the air and sails through the basket, and the crowd cheers … all I can think is, ‘man, this shot lacks the gravitas of what we saw in the NCAA Tournament last weekend.’

Then again, I was watching those live, and I only saw this clip this morning. From the crowd to the Denver bench … darn it, I just became that guy who compared the NCAA Tournament to the NBA, and I hate being that guy. Saw a lot of that guy on social media over the weekend and vowed not to be that guy.

Oh well, I tried.
