Buddy Hield just put on a show Saturday. Again. Oklahoma’s senior guard and potential National Player of the Year dropped 37 points on Oregon in the Elite Eight as he lead his Sooners to a West Regional title and a Final Four berth.

Hield was simply as unstoppable as he has been all season. He made shots from all over, but hit 8-of-13 3-pointers which all but buried the Ducks. It was Hield’s 12th time breaking the 30-point barrier this season, and in four NCAA Tournament games he is averaging 29.3 points per game and has hit 19 of 40 shots from beyond the 3-point line. That’s 47.5 percent! Given the quality of the opponent, his performance Saturday night was easily his most impressive of the tournament.

There is no question Hield has been the tournament’s best player to this point, and by a wide margin.
