Matt Harvey Had Blood Clots in His Bladder, Passed Them
By Kyle Koster

New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson announced Monday that Matt Harvey’s Opening Day start was in jeopardy due to a “non-baseball-related” medical issue.
We know know the issue.
Harvey had blood clots in his bladder, which have passed, according to multiple reports.
Wearing a hospital bracelet at Mets camp this morning, the fire-balling righty stated the obvious.
"Any time there's discoloration in your urine, it's not a great feeling." Matt Harvey

He also shared how he got the clots in the first place, which should serve as a cautionary tale for us all.
Harvey says the blood clot in his bladder was caused by "holding in my urine too long instead of using the restroom." So, um, yeah. #Mets
