Tough Young Hockey Fan Takes Puck to Head, Gets Staples, Returns to Game

James is the biggest little fan of the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage. During a game on Sunday, a puck came over the glass and hit him in the head. He had to go to the hospital to get three staples. After the staples were in, his father rushed him back to the game to see the last two minutes. Hockey fans loved this making the ultimate tough guy meme. (The only thing missing was a picture of Miami Heat fans leaving a playoff game early because their feelings were hurt.)

News 4 San Antonio tracked down James to get the full story. The most incredible part of this story has to be the fact that James was featured in a Vine on the team’s official Twitter account before the game when he shared a fist bump with a player through the glass. Even if he was the only little kid in attendance, the puck still had to find him.
