Video: Jozy Altidore Seals 4-0 Win For USMNT With Rocket Of A Goal

Jozy Altidore was a second-half substitute for the United States men’s national team Tuesday night and he made his presence felt soon after entering the game. In the midst of the U.S.’s thorough beat-down of Guatemala, Altidore played well up top, causing some havoc and eventually netting his 34th international goal. His goal tied him with Eric Wynalda for third-place on the U.S.’s all-time scoring list.
The tally came off a turnover, when Clint Dempsey dribbled into the box, lost his momentum and the ball rolled into Altidore’s path. The 26-year-old didn’t hesitate, blasting it into the net, to give the American’s a 4-0 lead in the 89th minute.
