Oh it’s on (again)

Connor McGregor  will get his rematch vs. Nate Diaz at the milestone UFC 200 event set to take place on July 9th in Las Vegas.

As you know by now: the enormously-hyped and highest grossing pay-per-view in UFC History, McGregor/Diaz I (UFC 196), saw the underdog challenger shock the world by submitting the champion with a rear naked choke in the second round.

Rumors of a rematch filled the interwebs within days of the bout, and now it’s official…

In addition to the main event, Jose Aldo will battle Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight title — and you gotta assume the winner will face McGregor at 145 for the right to be named undisputed champion.

The rest of the UFC 200 card doesn’t disappoint either:

  • Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne
  • Johny Hendricks vs. Kelvin Gastelum
  • Jim Miller vs. Takanori Gomi
  • Joe Lauzon vs. Diego Sanchez

Is this an appropriate time to use “it’s lit”? Because it’s certainly lit.
