The Final Four Crowd is Fashionably Late

The first Final Four game between Villanova and Oklahoma didn’t officially tip off until 5:09 p.m. local time. This picture taken 15 minutes before then suggests most people opted not to check out the pregame festivities.

There are several explanations. The majority of ticketholders could be Syracuse or North Carolina fans. Security could be taken longer than expected.

Or, you know, the games could go on with plenty of seats unfilled.
