Kansas City Royals Played "American Woman" While Noah Syndergaard Warmed Up

The Kansas City Royals won the World Series a few months ago, but they’re still very salty towards the New York Mets. They’ve had two World Series celebrations during their season-opening series and after receiving their rings, the team played “American Woman” while Noah Syndergaard warmed up.

Syndergaard proceeded to strike out 9 over 6 innings in a 2-0. After the game, Snydergaard, with a stone face and a man bun, told reporters he thought it was, “funny.”

Sure. Perhaps this was the “revenge” the Royals had planned to get on Snydergaard. If so, well played. I’m sure Toronto manager John Gibbons finds this to be the ultimate insult.
