Golden State dropped a home game in overtime to the Timberwolves on Tuesday night. Karl Anthony Towns had 20 points and 12 boards while Shabazz Muhammad scored 35 points off the bench and finished the evening with a game-leading +29. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 49 points in the game, cumulatively shooting 8-25 on their 3-pointers.

The loss drops Golden State to 69-9; they must go 4-0 the remainder of the season in order to pass the Bulls’ record of 72 wins, or 3-1 to tie it. They have two games apiece left – home and road – versus the Spurs and Grizzlies. It will be fascinating to see if they are able to do it.
