Jeremy Lin Hits Deep, Meaningless 3, During Meaningless Game, Against Meaningless Knicks
Jeremy Lin struggled against his former team, but the Hornets beat the Knicks in Madison Square Garden last night, 111-97. Lin finished with 6 points on 2-of-9 shooting. It would have been worse, but Kurt Rambis had his team competing to the final buzzer and Sasha Vujacic pressed Lin and got crossed over. Lin hit a deep three with 5.9 seconds left on the clock.
The Knicks are now 31-48. Carmelo Anthony played 38 minutes in the most meaningless possible game. Maybe this is why Melo wants input on the Knicks next coach. I’m sure Phil Jackson will acquiesce… so long as Melo is fine waiting for Rambis to step down after a few more stellar seasons.
