Bryce Harper has always been brash. But over the offseason it appears he decided to up his wrestling heel level. First he called baseball boring. Then he egged on booing Atlanta Braves fans before crushing their spirits with an Opening Day home run.

His latest step in becoming the LeBron James of Major League Baseball came Thursday night when he unveiled a new walkup song during the Nationals home opener.

G.O.M.D. is an acronym for “get off my d*ck.” Perhaps it’s just a coincidence one of baseball’s most polarizing figures is using a song that implores others to stay out of his business.

On the other hand … nah. He knows exactly what he’s doing.

Interestingly enough, the move will do the exact opposite and bring more attention upon him. Of course, perhaps that’s the point.

What’s clear is that Harper is going for it. The next six months should be fun.
