Drake Caggiula’s career at North Dakota ended over the weekend with a national championship at the 2016 Frozen Four. Before Caggiula left, he had one more confrontation with an official. Unlike most players, Caggiula and hockey officials settle their issues with violent contact.

In the game that sent UND to the Frozen Four, a referee laid out Caggiula behind the net after a goal. On Saturday, Caggiula came out of the penalty box and put a clueless official on the ice before getting a shot off. Caggiula went on to win Most Outstanding Player.
