Atlanta Braves outfielder Hector Olivera was arrested after an alleged domestic abuse dispute at a hotel Wednesday morning, according to a report from WJLA.

"Police sources say the female victim called 911 from the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City at 6:51 Wednesday morning saying she had been assaulted. Police say the victim had bruises and was transported to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Olivera was at the hotel and taken into police custody. Olivera is currently being processed by the Arlington Police Department. He has not yet been formally charged."

The Braves are in town for a four-game series with the Washington Nationals.

Police say Olivera and the woman know each other but the specifics of their relationship remains unknown.

Olivera, 31, was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Cuba before being traded to the Braves last season. He’s hit .245 in 108 Major League at-bats.
