Saturday the Johnny Manziel road show was in Los Angeles, where according to TMZ the car he was riding in crashed into a light pole and fled the scene.

The driver is alleged to have been his friend Ryan Silverstein, who supposedly is also known as OVO Ryan to people who pay attention to who Drake’s friends are. Police said the two fled on foot, according to TMZ.

And if you thought this episode was going to come and go without an appearance from Josh Gordon, then you probably haven’t been reading much Manziel news lately. Gordon, Manziel’s ex-teammate with the Cleveland Browns, picked up Silverstein and Manziel and took them home.

This was the same night Manziel inaccurately told TMZ he was living with Von Miller.

TMZ also reported that Manziel and Gordon were both questioned by police, but neither is expected to be charged. Police are still investigating Silverstein for a misdemeanor hit-and-run. He hasn’t been charged.

The report didn’t come out until Wednesday, the same day Manziel’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said he would drop Manziel if he didn’t enter a rehabilitation program.

Gordon and Manziel are both presumably trying to salvage their NFL careers. Dating back ot 2010 when he was at Baylor, Gordon has run into various kinds of alcohol- and marijuana-related trouble, including NFL suspensions in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Fox Sports reported he failed another drug test last month.
