Phil Jackson’s rigid predilection for the triangle offense has been widely characterized as a turnoff for splashy head coach prospects. Knicks fans, who have been in perpetual purgatory basically since Patrick Ewing left the team around the turn of the century, are growing impatient. Jackson disdains those concerns.

Craig Carton, the co-host of WFAN’s morning show alongside Boomer Esiason, hatched a tongue-in-cheek solution to the impasse:

Though this idea garnered some retweets, so far it hasn’t developed momentum with fans’ wallets. So far, four people have contributed to the GoFundMe, for a total of $35. To reach the $1,000 goal, Carton probably needs to put his money where his keyboard is.
