It’s tough being a fan of the San Jose Sharks. The franchise routinely disappoints its supporters, and that happened again on Monday night.

The Sharks lost a home contest in overtime to the rival Los Angeles Kings. One San Jose fan sitting behind the Kings bench was so desperate for something to cheer for, she jumped out of her seat excitedly when the Kings scored to win the game in overtime. As Los Angeles’ players jumped up to celebrate, so did she.

She does the “Yeah! Wait…Yeah!” dance and doesn’t seem to get what actually happened. So, should we tell her or just let her continue believing in the impossible dream?

As for the contest on the ice, it was a phenomenal one. It was a brutal physical battle, as the Kings had a whopping 61 hits, while the Sharks responded with 39. Tanner Pearson beat his former teammate (and roommate) Martin Jones five-hole 3:47 into the extra session to win it.

The Kings cut San Jose’s lead in half as a result. It’s now 2-1 heading into Game 4 on Wednesday night.
