Samoa Joe pinned Finn Balor to win the NXT championship at a house show in Lowell, Ma. this evening. It’s an exceedingly rare occurrence in pro wrestling for a big belt to change like this at a non-televised event, and something like this will invariably lead to an even greater specter around WWE’s developmental league now.

Immediately speculation becomes whether Balor dropped the belt to soon join the main roster, which, due to call ups and stars returning from injuries all of a sudden has its most depth in years.
