Dwight Howard and Rockets Bench Didn't Look Psyched About James Harden's Game-Winner

James Harden hit what was ultimately the game-winner against Golden State with under three seconds remaining. TNT’s shot cut to the Rockets bench, and they didn’t look especially excited about their teammate’s accomplishment. Clint Capela was the only one jazzed up. Dwight Howard, who has not meshed with Harden, looked straight up dismayed.

However, as friend of the program Sean Pendergast points out, the Warriors had just gone coast-to-coast with ease on the previous possession (and on others in the game), and 2.7 seconds left was plenty of time to blow it. A 17-point lead had evaporated in the game, and nerves were still a factor. Nevertheless, given the overt lack of chemistry this Rockets team has displayed at times, it’s unlikely they’re going to get the benefit of the doubt on this in the general conversation.
