Tiger Woods showed up at the Junior Invitational and hit balls in front of a crowd, then he registered for the U.S. Open, and on Monday afternoon he played five holes of golf at Bluejack National. Woods was there for the ceremonial opening tee shot, and after his round talked to media members and told them this is the first time he’s played a hole of golf since August at the Wyndham Championship.

"“I haven’t been out here playing like this. I hadn’t played any holes until today,” Woods said according to ESPN. “I know people have said I’ve played holes back at Medalist, but I haven’t. This is actually the first time I’ve played holes since Wyndham. It’s been a while.”"

For what it’s worth Woods does look healthier, but his follow through is still looking timid.

And even though he’s still recovering, he still gets a little disappointed when he misses one.

Even though Woods has registered for the U.S. Open at Oakmont, he still has no time table for his return.

"“I’m just progressing,” he said. “You saw how I was going at it today, nice and smooth. That’s harder than I have been going at it the last month. Just gradually progressing. We’re just trying to progress and I’m doing that.” “I haven’t set any date to when I’m playing again, which is frustrating to say. But to be honest with you, that’s what I’ve had to do. I’ve had to go with that mindset,” he said. “Keep improving. Keep getting better. Keep making progress. And I’m doing that.”"

Well, there’s your answer folks, Tiger Woods will be back…eventually.

Maybe Woods is healthy by June 16th–probably not, and once again, just because he’s registered doesn’t mean he’ll be playing. It does seem like he will play before the end of the season though.
