" Just announced on @GMA: the #UFC200 Main Event will be @JonnyBones (Jon Jones) vs. @dc_mma (Daniel Cormier). @UFC https://t.co/7Hcnmh3Enp — Good Morning America (@GMA) April 27, 2016 "

We did it guys – The UFC is officially mainstream! Dana White, some UFC fighters, and a former and current contestant on Dancing With the Stars “took over” Good Morning America this morning. The momentous moment was used to announce the official headlining bout for UFC 200 – a rematch between “interim” light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and current official light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier. Sure, everyone knew this fight was going to be announced, but Michael Strahan made sure to act surprised.

Women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate and current Dancing With the Stars challenger Paige VanZant were there to talk UFC with former Bachelor Jesse Palmer.

New Jersey native Frankie Edgar and former light heavyweight champion and Dancing With the Stars season 9 contestant Chuck Liddell were also on set. While none of those people had fights announced today, they all did get to dance with Jones and Cormier because this is what cage fighting looks like when you sell it to people watching Good Morning America. And yes, ALL fighters are excellent dancers.
