Woman Shares Snapchat of Herself Allegedly in Bed with Ezekiel Elliott

Ezekiel Elliott appears to be in bed sleeping comfortably in the background of a woman’s Snapchat picture posted over the weekend. He now joins James Harden and Julian Edelman as athletes who have had their pictures taken while slumbering, with the obvious implication that it was proceeded by some cuddling.

Consenting adults should be afforded the opportunity to engage in acts consenting adults enjoy. In 2016, professional athletes can no longer expect secrecy.

Chicago Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long had a strong reaction to the Elliott picture hitting the internet.

There are many injustices in the world people are more passionate about than professional athletes’ privacy but Long’s comments are reflective of the difficulties facing people in the public eye.

Keep this in mind the next time you hear some pundit ranting about how young players need to stay off social media. Both Elliott and Laremy Tunsil’s off-the-field activities were shared by other people. There really is no escaping the omnipresence of cell phone cameras. All it takes is one person with an agenda and an internet connection.

I fully understand that no point made here is revolutionary. If I sound out-of-touch, that’s because I’m a 32-year-old man struggling to understand the decision to post a picture of someone sharing your bed without their permission or knowledge. That I’ll freely admit.
