Bob Raissman on Pablo Torre: "Smug, Condescending, Arrogant"

Skip Bayless is leaving ESPN. NYDN columnist Bob Raissman offered a list of candidates to replace Bayless on First Take. It turns out he’s not a Pablo Torre fan.
"Pablo S. Torre — Smug, condescending, arrogant. In other words, a perfect fit for the gig. Looking down from Mt. Pablo, he delivers highfalutin sports edicts designed to make the rest of us schlubs look like idiots. Overnight, he would turn SAS into a man of the people."
Torre is a natural old guy media target. He went to Hah-vahd. He’s been ludicrously successful at a young age (younger than I am per the Internet), on television. Both achievements are pretty “highfalutin.” We enjoyed Torre’s sports edict about “big playoff” last month.
First Take would be an opportunity. Though, with ongoing fill-in gigs on every Erik Rydholm effort, one imagines he could wait for a more tailored fit.
