Chris Bosh's Season Is Officially Over
Chris Bosh has missed nearly three months as he has dealt with blood clots showing up in his bloodstream. The Miami Heat star had been pressuring the team to allow him to return for the playoffs, but apparently that will not happen. According to the AP’s Tim Reynolds, Bosh’s season is over.
The Heat obviously would have loved to have Bosh back as they are currently battling the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Heat have played very well without their 32-year-old forward, in fact some have argued that they have played their best basketball with him out of the lineup. But there is no doubt he would certainly give the team’s frontcourt a boost.
While this is certainly a blow for Bosh and the Heat, you have to think it’s the right decision. He has dealt with blood clot problems in each of the past two seasons and it could be a life-threatening condition. He needs to worry about his personal health more than basketball. He’s made a ton of money and accomplished a lot in his career, it might be time to consider stepping away from the game and focusing on his health.
