J.R. Smith May Join LeBron In Space Jam 2

TMZ is reporting that J.R. Smith has been contacted about a role in LeBron James’ Space Jam 2, potentially doing voiceovers.
"We spoke to Smith’s rep Daniel Hazan … who says producers contacted him a few weeks ago to see if Smith would be down for a part — and J.R.’s ears perked up. “There is mutual interest,” Hazan says. As for the role — nothing’s set in stone, but producers have kicked around the idea of Smith possibly voicing an animated character … a la “the Monstars” from the original."
How did it take 20 years to get a Space Jam reboot in the works? That’s about the amount of time it took for 90s nostalgia to whitewash how terrible of a movie the first one was from the collective memory.
