Stephen Curry is amazing. He had been out for 15 days, then the Golden State Warriors finally let him play in Game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers Monday night. After a pedestrian first three quarters, Steph warmed up in the 4th quarter, then dominated overtime.

Curry finished the night with 40 points, but dropped 17 of Golden State’s 21 points in overtime. The 17 points he scored in overtime are an NBA record for any game, regular season or postseason. He outscored Portland 17-14 by himself in the extra frame. After struggling with his shot all night, he found his groove in overtime, going 6-for-7 from the field and 3-for-3 from 3-point range.

Here’s a sampling of Curry’s overtime heroics:

Curry will reportedly be named the NBA MVP for the second-straight season on Tuesday and he showed why Monday night. He took over a game he wasn’t supposed to see much action in and made it his own.

The Warriors won 132-125 and now lead the series 3-1.
