Things nobody on planet earth could have guessed a month ago, before the NBA playoffs began: Channing Frye, a 32-year old journeyman who comes off the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers, has been the most efficient offensive player in the postseason.

Frye narrowly edged out Serge “Nobody will pass me the ball even though I’m not missing shots” Ibaka of the Thunder in points-per-possession, 1.45 to 1.38. The sample size is only eight games for qualified players, and the Cavs have three of the top four players, according to Synergy Sports.

Among “high volume” players (aka, starters), Kawhi Leonard is ranked 1st (1.13), edging out Klay Thompson (1.12) and Kyrie Irving/LaMarcus Aldridge (1.11). [H/T @ClevTA]
