Rougned Odor Lands Vicious Punch To Jose Bautista's Jaw In Brawl

Things got ugly between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday as tensions that had been simmering for months finally boiled over.

In what looked like payback for last October’s epic bat-flip, Rangers reliever Matt Bush plunked Jose Bautista with the first pitch in the top of the eighth inning. Both teams were warned after the incident and a few plays later, Bautista went into second base with a really dirty slide on Rougned Odor. Obviously Odor took exception to that and wound up landing a hell of a haymaker to Bautista’s jaw, which prompted a nasty benches-clearing brawl.

I have to say, Bautista took that punch pretty well. He’s certainly got a better chin than Amir Khan.

Something tells me this isn’t the last we’ve heard about these two teams fighting.
