Brad Nessler Out at ESPN, Will Be Replaced by Joe Tessitore
By Kyle Koster
Brad Nessler, the No. 2 play-by-play man on ESPN’s college football announcing roster, is leaving the network after his contract was not renewed. Nessler is reportedly headed to CBS, with the conventional wisdom he’ll fill Verne Lundquist’s chair when it becomes vacant.
ESPN also announced Joe Tessitore would be moving to Saturday night games to work with Todd Blackledge. Tessitore worked Thursday night games last season in addition to hosting SEC Nation and College Football Final.
As reported by The Big Lead, Steve Levy will transition to the booth and be teamed with Brian Griese. Levy will continue his SportsCenter duties.
