Art Briles' #TruthDontLie and #BeCourageous Hashtags Seem Like a Mistake

ESPN’s Outside the Lines dropped a report yesterday on the Baylor football program, alleging the school has been mishandling sexual assault allegations. Scrutiny on Art Briles and the university is currently intense and some believe his job is in serious jeopardy.

So it’s a bit surprising to see him falling into a social media snafu by using hashtags like #truthdontlie and #becourageous. Sure, Briles tweet is about the academic accomplishments of his program, but his choice of words seem ill-advised. Critics will surely thrown down his alley-oops. How he didn’t anticipate the backlash in 2016 is beyond me.
