Mark Cuban Wants To Be Hillary Clinton's Running Mate Because Of Course He Does

Mark Cuban says he would be willing to be Hillary Clinton’s running mate if/when she secures the Democratic nomination for president. Oh God Donald Trump, what have you started?

The Dallas Mavericks owner, who some think will throw his hat in the ring for the presidency in 2020 or 2024, says he would certainly consider running with Clinton if she asked. Cuban is a Republican, but whatever, Trump is a Democrat and he’s about to snag the GOP’s nomination. Facts don’t seem to matter in American politics in 2016, so just go with it.

When specifically asked about whether he would consider being Clinton’s vice president, the 57-year-old Cuban said the following:

"“Absolutely. But the key would be she’d have to go more to the center. I like the fact that Senator Clinton has thought-out proposals. That’s a good thing because at least we get to see exactly where she stands”"

During a segment that will air on “Meet the Press” this Sunday, Cuban expressed interest in the position. He had previously said he would consider it, especially if he could throw bombs at Trump. Trump and Cuban have a long-simmering feud and why wouldn’t they? They’re both billionaires with reality TV shows who are prone to saying and doing ridiculous things. When you think about it, they should probably kiss, make up and run together.

As a fellow Indiana alum I feel like I need to speak directly to Cuban right now.

Mark, don’t do it. Stay the hell out of politics. Have you been paying attention to what has gone on with Trump over the past year? Right now you’re the sorta lovable billionaire who pops off occasionally and says wild stuff. If you run for president or vice president you’ll immediately go from being “colorful” do being “dangerous.” A huge segment of the population would hate you. And when you inevitably lose your brand and name would be tarnished forever.

Save yourself, it’s already too late for Trump.
