Crystal Palace and Manchester United are locked in what has turned out to be a classic battle in the 2016 FA Cup Final. The game was scoreless late into regulation when Jason Puncheon scored a great goal in the 78th minute to give Crystal Palace the lead.

" Another look at Marouane Fellaini’s effort off the crossbar. Still Crystal Palace 0-0 Manchester United. #FACupFinal https://t.co/NG9pQbzhvq — FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) May 21, 2016 "

That tally prompted the following response from his manager, Alan Pardew:

Unfortunately for Pardew, United equalized just three minutes later, as Juan Mata finished off a brilliant sequence that started with a stunning run by Wayne Rooney.

" A brilliant run from Rooney. The chest down from Fellaini. And the finish from Mata. 1-1! #FACupFinal https://t.co/eAsYcknAC6 — FOX Sports (@FOXSports) May 21, 2016 "

Everyone was a little ticked that Rooney and company had ruined one of the greatest gifs in sports history.
