Desperate Rex Ryan & Bills Ban Media From Tweeting Actual Information From Training Camp

Rex Ryan, who so loved the media attention in New Jersey when he was coaching the Jets, apparently wants them to be more quiet in Buffalo. Over the last couple weeks, Ryan has taken the blame for drafting a player who needed surgery that would keep him out half his rookie season and acquired a veteran who refuses to contact the Bills. Apparently, the bright lights of the actual New York media in Buffalo is a bit too much for the new Don of the Bills mafia. Media has been banned from basically tweeting about anything that happens on the field during practice – including who is playing when and where and what they’re doing.

On the one hand, this is a very Orwellian approach that will directly affect the free flow of information from training camp. On the other hand, it prevents people who cover the Buffalo Bills from doing a Twitter play-by-play of practice. The more I think about it, the Bills might have the greater good in mind with this one.

Update: This is an example of a tweet we would miss. There should always be exceptions to the rule.
