Steven Adams Just Drives People Insane For Some Reason
Steven Adams really brings it out of people. Even when the intent is questionable, the Thunder center has continuously been on the receiving ends of kicks, punches, shoves, and glares for his entire three seasons in the NBA. The video above is just a compilation of players hitting him during his rookie season.
During his second year he was even attacked by the ball after the whistle had blown. Last season Nick Young was ejected after throwing an elbow at a stationary Adams.
This season DeMarcus Cousins nearly punched him and Hassan Whiteside did this. Earlier in the playoffs, Raymond Felton hit Adams in the chest.
So what is it about the Kiwi that drives people so crazy? His hair? His criticism of Oklahoma City weather? The fact that he’s built like a damn house and probably doesn’t even notice he’s pushing people around? Whatever it is, Adams’ refusal to do anything but give a confused look and walk away is just as crazy. And he’s just 22. Imagine how crazy he’ll drive opponents when he’s a wily old veteran. We might need to ban Steven Adams for his own safety.
