Joakim Noah Reportedly Has "No Trust" in Bulls Front Office, Sounds Like He's Out
Joakim Noah sounds like he’s heading out of Chicago, where he’s played for the entirety of his nine-year NBA career. Joe Cowley reports in the Chicago Sun-Times:
"Noah has been telling teammates in recent weeks that he was done with the organization once free agency begins, and “has no trust in the front office getting this in the right direction,’’ according to a Bulls player."
This feeling is not wholly surprising. Noah lost his role as a starter in Fred Hoiberg’s first year with the team, had his worst statistical season in awhile, and suffered a shoulder injury that kept him out for most of the year. The Bulls feel rudderless, and Noah, a a free agent, could use a fresh start.
Talk has already turned to where he could go next:
Depending on what role he’d be willing to embrace, there are plenty of places in the NBA where Joakim Noah could be a contributor for the next couple years. It would be sad to see him leave Chicago, but it feels like the Bulls are in line for an intensive rebuild.
