LeBron James Taunting Drake Restored Order to the World
By Kyle Koster
When the Eastern Conference Finals were knotted at 2-2, Toronto Raptors superfan Drake got a bit big for his britches and flooded social media with smack talk. And that was fine, because it was arguably the high point of his life. As I said at the time, though, it was only a matter of time until the heavy foot of LeBron James came down on the rapper’s good times.
The Cavaliers extinguished all hope north of the border last night by destroying the Raptors on their own court. The Drake is dead. Long live The King.
James reminded everyone that he is the best player on the planet by scoring 33 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing out six assists. He served notice that Friday night would be the series finale by throwing down a powerful dunk and giving Drake an earful.

To his credit, Drake wore it and continued to search for happiness in the bottom of his drink.
It was a small moment but also served as marker for when order was restored to the sporting world. In the future we’ll look back in wonder –and still not understand– how Toronto forced this series to go six games. We’ll fondly recall the few days when the NBA turned upside down and the possibility of a Thunder-Raptors final seemed plausible.
As the final seconds ticked away in the Game 6 blowout, everything snapped back to normal. Everyone was where they were supposed to be. James was back in the NBA Finals, where he has a timeshare. Drake was back doing what he does best, congratulating others when they beat his favored team — and kind of looking like a dork.

When the two superstars met for a brief hug in the tunnel, the power dynamic was clear.
No new friends. No new faces in the Finals. No new world order.
