A's Fan Loses Foul Ball, Takes Other Guy's Beer as Consolation Prize

The Athletics beat the Twins on Tuesday night, 7-4. The most impressive play of the game came on a foul ball in the 8th inning. Fan #1 dove for the ball, but missed it and the ball landed between the wall and the rolled up tarp. So Fan #1 dove down into the abyss after the ball as another fan – Fan #2 – reached down with both hands – one of which held a beer. When they emerged, Fan #1 had Fan #2’s beer and Fan #2 had the baseball. Fan #1 then walked away drinking Fan #2’s beer. Announcer #1 and announcer #2 were greatly amused.
