The Denver Broncos will visit the White House on Monday. Brock Osweiler will not join his former team. Instead, Osweiler, who started the final seven games of the regular season during Denver’s Super Bowl run, will be with his new teammates in Houston. Osweiler released a professional and robot-like statement explaining why. Via USA TODAY:

"“The Broncos graciously extended an invitation for me to join them at The White House on Monday, but due to a scheduled OTA in Houston, I feel it is important to be at practice with my new teammates,” Osweiler said in a statement. “It’s a new offensive system for me and every practice and rep is extremely important. I am very appreciative of the Broncos wanting to include me on this special day.”"

Wow. Those certainly are some words, huh? I just wonder who will use this as motivation. The Broncos, for a former teammate “slighting” them on the biggest stage of the victory tour? Or Osweiler, based on whatever a former teammate says that is taken out of context by the media about how they wish Osweiler was there to meet the president? I’m sure we’ll find out on October 24th when the Broncos host the Texans on Monday Night Football.
