Jeff Withey Says He Didn't Cheat on Kennedy Summers, Explains Extra Movie Ticket

As you well know, the biggest sports news on Thursday was 2014 Playboy Playmate of the Year Kennedy Summers accusing her boyfriend, Utah Jazz center Jeff Withey, of cheating on her. After she publicly called him out on nearly every social media network in existence, Withey shared his side of the story.

"Unfortunately a private matter was made public. I am not a cheater, nor would I ever cheat. Went to the movies by myself and picked up the tickets of the person in front of me. Not even my credit card number on the stub. That is all that I will say about the matter and I appreciate my friends, family and followers that know my character standing behind me and never questioning me for a moment."

This is a confusing explanation upon an initial reading. We’ve come to the conclusion as a staff that Withey means he physically picked up the tickets belonging to the person in front of him, not that he “picked them up” financially. That would explain the two different purchase times.

It’s certainly a plausible scenario, especially if Withey hates litter and didn’t pass a garbage can en route to the theater.

Summers’ complaints about his Instagram and Tinder use weren’t addressed.

It appears Withey won’t be commenting further on the situation. Only he knows the truth about what really went down on at a Thursday night showing of X-Men in California. But if he is indeed being honest about how he came to possess an extra movie ticket stub, you must admit he ran into some bad luck here.
