Lawrence Taylor’s wife, Lynette, was arrested for domestic violence Thursday in Florida after allegedly striking the Hall of Fame linebacker in the back of the head with something she threw, TMZ reported.

"Cops say Lynette ADMITTED to throwing an object at the back of LT’s head — ‘causing a 3-inch laceration … at one point saying, “Yeah, I beat [his] a**. I made him bleed.”"

Lynette Taylor was held on one count of domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest. According to TMZ, Lawrence Taylor told police she hit him, but doesn’t want to press charges.

Lynette later said she was being sarcastic about beating her husband.

Lawrence Taylor has had extensive experience with the legal system. He was arrested a couple times in the mid-1990s for trying to buy cocaine from undercover police officers, he was arrested in 2009 for fleeing the scene of an accident, and again in 2010 for having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute. In that case, he pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute, receiving six years probation.
