Laremy Tunsil has Not Hit a Gas-Mask Bong Even Once During Dolphins Camp

Saying that rookie offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil has been “very, very impressive” and that he “pays attention,” the Miami Dolphins indicated today that Tunsil has done nothing to induce buyer’s remorse, up to and including hitting a gas-mask bong, the Miami Herald reported.

"The left guard job seems to be Tunsil’s to lose, but that obviously would change if Albert or James got injured. Dolphins coach Adam Gase said before the draft that their first-rounder would start, and Tunsil has shown nothing in the past month to dissuade the team of that."

Though the story doesn’t explicitly say Tunsil has not hit a gas-mask bong since arriving in Miami, his having famously done so is the subtext for the notion that the Dolphins may have already regretted drafting him 13th in last month’s NFL Draft. You never know when somebody like that will pull out a gas-mask bong on third-and-long and forget the snap count.

"“He works,” Christensen said. “He pays attention. He doesn’t make the same mistake over and over again, which you look for in a rookie. He leaves those meetings, goes, looks at it and comes on the field and it shows. I’ve been really impressed with him and, again, it’s still teach mode. It’s still a new position for him.”"
