Other than releasing a second classic album, Snoop Dogg has done just about everything there is to do in American pop culture. He has been in several movies, he had a sketch comedy show called Doggy Fizzle Televizzle, he has roasted both Flavor Flav and Donald Trump on Comedy Central, he has been on The Price is Right, he won an AVN award for his work directing a porno called Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, starred in an Old Navy commercial and — yes — recorded one of the seminal albums of the 1990s, regardless of genre.

And how he has thrown out a ceremonial first pitch that was … well, it was funnier than Doggy Fizzle Televizzle, anyway.

Dogg, 44, demonstrated that artistic and athletic talent don’t always manifest in the same person. We can’t all be Bison Dele.

It will take a mighty performance, however, maybe even a mighty wind, to top the legendary first pitch thrown by 50 Cent.
