Cleveland is Getting a "hip, fancy" Taco Bell In One Of Their Two Buildings

ESPN’s Michele Steele noticed this article in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer this morning. I can only assume the news that Cleveland would soon be home to a “fancy Taco Bell” was on the front page today. If this was TB’s attempt to plant a story with the local media and create some viral buzz – mission accomplished. You’re on a sports blog!

The full write-up in the online version adds “hip” to the description of a Taco Bell Cantina because nothing says “hip” and “fancy” like Taco Bell and booze.

Seriously though. I want to go to there.

As for the Cleveland economy, this should be popular with local sports fans who will now have a nice place to eat before Indians or Cavs game.* It will also be a fitting place to weep after a Browns game. Judging by the fairly positive Yelp reviews of the TBC’s in San Francisco and Chicago, Clevelanders are in for a treat.

*I have no idea how the city of Cleveland is set up. I’ll just assume they’re putting this thing near the sports venues. Is there a second neighborhood?
