Jeff Teague played last season with a tear in his patella according to a quickly deleted Instagram post. Teague, who has one year remaining on his contract with the Atlanta Hawks, averaged 15.7 points, 5.9 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and shot a career-high 40% from 3-point range in 79 games this season. His numbers were similar in the Playoffs, but his shooting dropped as the Hawks were swept by the Cavaliers in the second round.

This post seems to suggest that Teague – who has been mentioned as a possible trade chip for a while now – had surgery. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, “Hawks officials are aware of the posts.”
