Manchester United and Spain goalkeeper David De Gea and Athletic Bilbao winger Iker Muniain were named by a witness in a Spanish sexual abuse investigation of a Spanish pornographer.

Spanish pornographer “Torbe” is being investigated for “human trafficking for purposes of sexual exploitation, sexual assault, child pornography, prostitution, extortion, and money laundering.”

A key witness in the case alleges De Gea arranged a sexual encounter for two other players through Torbe at a Madrid hotel in 2012 and that the women were forced to have sex with the players under physical threat.

"Torbe was alleged to have promised her a lot of money to go the hotel suite, where one other woman and two footballers would be. “Both the other girl, as well as TP3 [the codename given to the protected witness] were sexually assaulted by the men, as they were physically assaulted by both if they refused,” the police report said. “After finishing with the sexual desires of these footballers, they made threats so that what happened in that hotel room would never come to light.”"

Athletic Bilbao’s Iker Muniain was named as one of the participants. There are conflicting reports about the second participant. No player has been charged with a crime.

Muniain was embroiled in a separate “scandal” in 2012 when a photo emerged of him and Javi Martinez posing with porn actresses while on Spain U-21 duty.

De Gea, 25, is the starting goalkeeper for Manchester United, widely recognized as one of the world’s best. He is battling with Iker Casillas to be Spain’s starting goalkeeper at Euro 2016. Contrary to initial reports, he has not been sent home from the tournament..
