Kam Chancellor Launched a Line of Dress Shoes

Kam Chancellor held an event in Seattle on Monday to introduce his new men’s dress shoe line, which he worked on with the New York brand Awl & Sundry. As you can see in the video above, Chancellor designed three pairs for the company.

Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times notes that Chancellor, who was coy about his holdout last season, was embarking on this business venture and another one in women’s fitness with an eye towards life after retirement:

"“You know, football isn’t going to last forever,’’ he said. “I just want to expand my name a little bit with the shoes and the fitness, but also help people. With the fitness, a more healthy lifestyle, a more fit lifestyle. With the shoes, I want people to look good. If you look good, you feel good, it’s all good.’’"

While Chancellor reiterated to the reporter that his number one focus is football, he also realizes it could all end on just one play.

Chancellor has been one of the most fun players in the league to watch the last few years; he might be second to JJ Watt in the non-fantasy-scorer side of the ball because it is insane to see the hits he delivers from a frame that looks diminutive on an NFL field. It’s cool to see him dipping his toes in other waters.
