Von Miller Says He Won't Play 2016 Season Under Franchise Tag a Day After Saying He Would

Von Miller posted a picture to Instagram with a caption claiming that he would not play the 2016 season under the franchise tag. The Denver Broncos placed the franchise tag on Von Miller on March 1st. Miller never liked that, but he recently told Chelsea Handler that he would not sit out the season. And when I say “recently,” I mean really recently. Like, yesterday.

That’s a very fast flip-flop by Miller! Coupled with the fact that he set this threat up by saying that he loved his teammates, coaches and fans. If he really loved them, he’d probably, you know, play football no matter how much money the Broncos are paying him.

The Broncos and Miller have apparently agreed on the overall, giant, fake numbers that don’t actually mean anything because NFL contracts are pure fantasy – six-year contract worth $114.5 million – but can’t agree on the actual amount of guaranteed money and when it would be paid. So really, they’ve agreed on nothing. Meanwhile, Miller can’t seem to agree with himself, but at least he’s taking to social media and Netflix talk shows while he disagrees.
