Dustin Johnson Almost Holed an Incredible Chip During the U.S. Open
By Michael Shamburger
After starting his third round of the U.S. Open with a birdie on the first hole at Oakmont, Dustin Johnson followed up with a pulled tee shot that apparently hit a fan’s head and wound up underneath a concession stand. After taking relief, DJ hit his second shot just off of the green but left himself with an awkward stance on his chip. The stance didn’t affect Johnson one bit, as he hit one of the best shots of the tournament, almost holing out and making a birdie.
Johnson is still the leader at five-under ahead of Andrew Landry at three-under and Lee Westwood at two-under.
